We want to reiterate some best practices and share updated instructions for reserving rooms and vehicles on the Durham Campus. 

Best Practices for Room Reservations

  1. Here is the list of approvers of rooms that require approval at NCSSM-Durham. You can see this on the See when rooms or vehicles are available article. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10y8q17XGRaC0cRe9MroQyfaieyJfRzL3C6f03gFO7vY/edit?gid=0#gid=0  

If you have any questions about these rooms or when they may be reserved, please contact the approvers of them.

  1. Please look at your reservation after you book it as a final check. Make sure you don’t have a line through the room as shown on the left below. The room should show as it appears in the screenshot on the right.

Best Practices for Vehicle Reservations

  1. It’s best to reserve vehicles at least 2 weeks in advance.

  2. Please use your primary work calendar (this appears as your name in Google Calendar) to reserve vehicles. In other words, don't use a shared calendar to reserve a vehicle.

  3. Please add your name to the title field and destination to the location field.

  4. Please look at your reservation after you book it as a final check. Make sure you don’t have a line through the vehicle and it appears similar to the reservations shown in the screenshot at the top-right.
