Logging into Canvas as an NCSSM Connect Student

These instructions are only for NCSSM Connect students and do not apply for NCSSM Online or Residential students. NCSSM Online and Residential students should use these instructions instead: Logging into Canvas. Other guests without NCSSM credentials or who may be taking professional development from NCSSM, should login with the Canvas login for guests instructions.

Login Instructions

  1. The URL you should use to login is: http://ncssm.instructure.com. Be sure to choose the login link for NCSSM Connect or Summer Programs Students, login here

  2. You should have been provided with a User ID and password from the Connect program. (Your NCSSM Connect user ID will end with @ncssm.edu).

  1. If you are unsure what your user ID is, check with your school’s facilitator. If they are unable to help, email ithelp@ncssm.edu.

Reset your Password

  1. If you are unsure what your password is, you may be able to reset it by using the “Forgot Password” link.

  1. When requesting a password reset using the “Forgot Password” link, you should use your home school-issued email address from your home school and not your NCSSM Connect User ID. (In other words, do not use the address that ends in @ncssm.edu.)

  1. You will then be emailed a password reset link to your regular school-issued email address.

  2. If you continue to have difficulty logging in, please email ithelp@ncssm.edu.
     

Change your Password

Once you login to Canvas the first time, be sure to change your password to something you can remember and that is secure.
