Logging into Canvas as a guest without an NCSSM email address

NCSSM Online or Residential students should use these instructions instead: Logging into Canvas. Open Enrollment (IVC) students should login with the Canvas Login Instructions for Open Enrollment Students.


These instructions are only for guests without NCSSM credentials, such as adult-learners taking professional development courses from NCSSM.

Instructions

  1. The URL you should use to login is: http://ncssm.instructure.com. Be sure to choose the login link for those without an NCSSM email address, which says “All others, log in here.”

  2. Your login name is your email address, including the @ symbol and domain.

     

  3. If it is your first time logging in and you have not setup a password, you will need to use the Forgot Password link to set your password. Also use this link if you have forgotten your password or have trouble logging in.

     

  4. After choosing Forgot Password, enter your login name (your email address) and click Request Password and Canvas will email you instructions to set your password. Be sure to check your Spam filter if you do not see an email from Canvas.
