Changing Audio and Video Sources to the Auditorium Remote Recorder (Seneca Scribe)

This article explains how to change audio and video input to the Seneca Scribe Panopto remote recorder in ETC 222.

All changes must be made from the Dell computer in ETC 222. For login information for this computer and Bird-dog boxes, see this guide to login credentials.

Type in each IP address into a Chrome browser on the Dell computer.(If you are logged in to Chrome as “NCSSMvideo” most of these devices are already open in browser tabs. Just check the IPs in the tabs).

Instructions for changing video sources

Use the information below to log into each bird-dog.

  1. Choose the A/V menu.

  2. Choose NDI Decode tab.

  3. Use the grey pull-down menu to select the correct source.

  4. Click the Apply button.

     

Troubleshooting

  1. You should see an IP address or something similar in the “Current IP address” window. If not,

  2. Click the Refresh button. Wait a moment and see if the IP address shows up.

 

To livestream from the auditorium

  1. Login to Birddog-mini-6 (Seneca Scribe Primary Input)

    1. IP address is: 10.10.0.35

    2. set the source to: “BIRDDOG-AUDITORIUM-CAM (CAM)”

  2. Login to Birdog-mini-7 (Seneca Scribe Secondary Input)

    1. IP address is: 10.10.0.36

    2. Set source to: “BIRDDOG-MINI-1 HDMI” (this is the auditorium lectern)

  3. Login to Symetrix Audio Control

    1. IP address is: 172.31.252.161

    2. Set audio preset to “Auditorium Livestream”

To livestream from the Lecture Hall

  1. Login to Birddog-mini-6 (Seneca Scribe Primary Input)

    1. IP address is: 10.10.0.35

    2. set the source to: “BIRDDOG-LECTURE-CAM (CAM)”

  2. Login to Birdog-mini-7 (Seneca Scribe Secondary Input)

    1. IP address is: 10.10.0.36

    2. Set source to: “BIRDDOG-MINI-3 HDMI” (this is the lecture hall lectern)

  3. Login to Symetrix Audio Control

    1. IP address is: 172.31.252.161

    2. Set audio preset to “Lecture Hall Livestream” preset

To setup a camera shot

On the Dell computer, you should see a preview of the camera. If not (add instructions here)

Select the camera

Press the number of the camera followed by CAM button on controller.

  • 1 - Auditorium Camera

  • 2 - Lecture Hall Camera

Select Camera Preset

Press the preset number followed by the CALL button on the controller.
