ReadyGo Instructor Guide
ReadyGO is a course-readiness assistant that simplifies the process of preparing your Canvas courses by using interactive checklists to guide you through important steps in the course-building process. It also features integrated chat tools, allowing you to get quick, context-aware support from your instructional design team without ever leaving Canvas.
Instructions
When first opening your new course shell, you may see a new menu option called ReadyGO Instructor. (You may have to scroll to the bottom of the menu to locate it).
Click the ReadyGO Instructor link in the course menu.
Once the ReadyGO menu opens, you may see Alerts about things missing from the course or important tasks that still need to be completed prior to using the course.
You will also find customized Checklists and Tasks. Checklists are assigned to you. Course tasks is a place where you can add your own custom to-do list of items you wish to complete.
Click on an assigned checklist to view tasks you have been assigned. For example, if you are an NCSSM Connect teacher, you may be assigned the “Connect Course Readiness” checklist.
Click on a task to view details about the task.
In the description, you will find detailed instructions and links to guides that explain how to complete the task step-by-step.
If you have questions or need help with a task, you can write a message in the message field.
Once you complete a task, check the box to signify it is complete.
On the main ReadyGO page, you will also find a chat tab where you can post general questions that will be responded to by an instructional designer. Rather than emailing the TLC team questions about your course, we ask that you use this chat tool. Be sure to check the ReadyGO page for responses.
