Connect to Monitor in TLC Office (ETC 318)

This guide explains how to connect to the monitor in ETC 318.

Instructions

Make sure you are connected to the Eduroam Wifi network or the NCSSM Guest Wifi network prior to connecting.

These instructions are for Mac OS 11.6 (Big Sur).

Click the Control Center shortcut in the Mac menu bar.
Choose Screen Mirroring.
Select ETC 318.
The display will automatically turn on and mirror your screen. You will be asked to enter a pairing code on your computer the first time you connect.
Click the Screen Mirroring shortcut in the Mac menu bar to select which screen to mirror. You can also choose to use the display as a separate display.
If you wish to change the arrangement of multiple monitors, go to your Mac’s system preferences and edit the display properties.

And choose the Arrangement tab.

Open a Chrome Browser window. Click the More icon in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window.
Then choose Cast.
Near the bottom of the window, use the Sources pull-down menu to select what you wish to cast to the monitor. We recommend choosing to Cast desktop.
Select ETC 318.
If you are using multiple monitors, choose which monitor to cast.

If your computer will not connect.

Turn on the TV with the remote. Press the home button. Wait a moment. Try again.
