These instructions are for custom NCSSM Connect courses and explain how to login to your class.

Create your NCSSM Connect Account

You should have received an email from “NCSSM Canvas” inviting you to each course. Be sure to check your school-assigned email for this message. If you do not see this message after also checking your spam folder, please let your facilitator know.

  1. Open the email message from NCSSM Canvas.

  2. In the message, click on Get Started. This will take you to the NCSSM Canvas website.

  3. Choose Create My Account.

Even if you use Canvas at your school, you must create a new account in NCSSM’s canvas account. You won't be able to login to your NCSSM Connect courses except through NCSSM’s account.

4. Choose a password for your account. Accept the “Acceptable Use Policy,” and choose to register.

Logging in to NCSSM Connect Courses

  1. To login to your NCSSM Connect Course(s), go to:
    ncssm.instructure.com
    (We recommend bookmarking this website)

  2. On the login page, choose the option that says” NCSSM Connect Students, Log In Here”

  3. You should then use your school email address and the password you setup with Canvas.

Forgot your Password?

If you forget your password or have trouble logging in, use the Forgot Password link on the Canvas login page. Also, be sure you are logging in to NCSSM’s Canvas site and not your home school’s site.

Accessing your Zoom Meetings

Once you are logged in to your Canvas course, use the “Zoom” link in the course menu to connect to your live class sessions.

Use the “Join” button to join your meeting. We recommend connecting a few minutes early.
