When teachers are adding assignments to their Gradebook, they must select an assignment type such as test or homework. If the assignment being added does not fit one of the existing types, one can be added.
Answer:
Navigate to Academics> Grades > Grading Setup
Select Assignment Settings
Click Add Type
Enter the Assignment Type (e.g. Homework)
Enter the Assignment Code (If Gradebook is being used, this will be the assignment's abbreviation, e.g. HW)
Select 'Yes' next to Major if your school considers the assignment type to be a major assignment
Click Save
