Completing the SM Apply Application (Fall Departmental Opportunity Applicants)
At the website NC School of Science and Mathematics, certain programs are set to release at 5 PM on September 17. These will be for those interested in applying for a fall opportunity. You can get direct links to the application from each program’s website, or you can hit the PROGRAMS button at the top right and see all available programs. You can hit MORE to see the details about that program and begin applying for it.

There are 2 pages to each application. The first page is a validation of information, and just confirming your campus and that we have all the correct details associated with you. If you see an error, please pause on your application and submit a ticket to ithelp.ncssm.edu referencing this issue that the information is wrong
On page 2, that is where you will be applying to the application and answering specific essays for each program. Please note that essays have a 250 word limit.
When complete, you will hit MARK AS COMPLETE, but this does not mean your application is submitted.
Once you hit Mark as Complete, the application hits the Review Stage. The following page will not be editable, but you’ll have a few options here. To the far left, you can see the review button which will display all the answers you have given the Application (screenshot below).
When reviewing, if you notice an issue or error in your application the top left ellipses will be how you can make an edit to the application (note screenshot below).

Reset: This lets you clear your whole application. WARNING: Once you hit reset you will be presented with this popup. Once you hit Yes there, there is no way to recover the essays and information you have deleted:

Edit: This takes the application back to an editable section and you can go through the different sections to make changes. Once you Mark as Complete, the application goes back to review status and can be submitted.

Once you have confirmed all information is correct, please hit the green SUBMIT button.
Once hitting the submit button, your application has moved onto the review round and there is no possibility to correct anything on the application at that point.
