How to Delete a Printer on macOS

Instructions for employees and students to delete a printer on macOS.

Employees and Students, please use the following instructions to delete to a network printer at NCSSM on a Mac:

Instructions

  1. Open System Settings from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder

  2. Navigate to Printers & Scanners

  3. In the Printers & Scanners settings, find the printer you want to delete (in this case I will do copier_queue) and click on it

  4. Click on the Remove Printer button and authenticate when prompted and you have now removed the printer
