All NCSSM-Morganton personnel requests should be completed via the appropriate forms (noted below) for part-time or additional employee contracts. Information should be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the anticipated start date for temporary personnel in order for the Travel & Personnel Associate to complete all paperwork and processes for new hires.

Prior to posting or making any offer of employment, HR must confirm eligibility for hire, determine qualifications and hiring hourly rates. HR will send out an official notification with the employee’s start date; employees cannot begin work prior to HR sending out this notification.

To initiate the hiring process for a temporary employee, hiring officials must supply all necessary details to the Travel and Personnel Associate at least in four weeks in advance through the Temporary Employment Submission Request form.

If additional action is needed from the Temporary Employment Submission Request form, the Travel and Personnel Associate will follow up with the requestor directly. Otherwise, the Travel and Personnel Associate will process all information through Human Resources (HR) and update the hiring manager accordingly.

Following the completion of the Temporary Employment Submission Request, the Travel and Personnel Associate will reach out to the identified candidate and gather the following information needed to complete HR processes:

  • Initiate Background Check Request (Via CastleBranch)

  • I-9

  • Conditions of Employment

  • Equal Opportunities Form

  • Direct Deposit Form

  • W-4

  • NC-4

  • Resume/Application

Additional Employment Contracts

If additional action is needed from the Additional Employment Request form, the Travel and Personnel Associate will follow up with the requestor directly. Otherwise, the Travel and Personnel Associate will process all information through Human Resources (HR) and update the hiring manager accordingly.

Following the completion of the Additional Employment Request, the Travel and Personnel Associate will reach out to the identified candidate and gather the following information needed to complete HR processes:

  • Additional Conditions of Employment Form

  • Updated documentation
