Employees - Add Printer on Windows

Guide for Employees and Users of NCSSM-Managed Windows Laptops to Connect to Network Printers at NCSSM.

Employees, and those using NCSSM-owned and managed Windows laptops in the NCSSM domain (meaning you log in with your NCSSM credentials) should use the following instructions to connect to network printers at NCSSM.

These instructions are for Windows. For Macs, please use these instructions.

Instructions for network printer setup

  1. Install the PaperCut Deploy Print application from: http://bit.ly/ncssmprintdeploy

  2. Run the pc-print-deploy-client[papercut.ncssm.edu].exe file you downloaded. Note: During the install, you will be prompted to use your administrator account (Win20xxLxx) to install the software.

  3. Once the software has been installed, you will be asked to authenticate with your NCSSM email address and password.

4. Once you’ve authenticated, the application should begin adding the printers that are assigned to your account.

5. Once the printers have been added, you should be able to print.

Note: If you’re printing to one of the Non-Color Copiers on campus, you will need to select one of the following:

  • Durham Campus: Dur_Copier_Queue

  • Morganton Campus: Copier_Queue
