Messaging Campus Activity or Student Life Groups

If you’re an advisor of a Campus Activity group, you will see a list of groups you lead in a dropdown menu when you first log into Blackbaud.

When on a campus group page, if you’ve been granted the ADVISOR role in Blackbaud, you can send messages to the group. In order to send a message…

1. Select the ADVISEES tab…

2. Select SEND COMMUNICATION TO…

3. Open

   

   You can choose from the following categories. Note that choosing all will also go to the student’s academic advisor.

    

4. Our recommended messaging to students is through Email instead of the Blackbaud messages system. To do this, please select to email them like in the screenshot below…

5. When emailing, you can select to simply copy the email addresses, or send your message out to them to where it will land in their email instead of on their Blackbaud messages menu.
