Blackbaud Invitations to Candidates and Logging into Blackbaud for the First Time
Candidates will receive an invitation at the email they entered on their NCSSM application to get into Blackbaud for the first time once the Application Cycle for the Class of 2026 is complete. It will look like this:
After hitting the ACCEPT INVITATION button, you’ll come to this screen and have 2 choices:
If using a Gmail or Apple account, it will use that verification in order to sign into Blackbaud for the first time with your Apple/Gmail Account. You can simply hit the Sign up with Google or Sign up with Apple button to immediately get to your Checklist page.
You are now finished with this.
If you are using a Yahoo or other personal email account, you’ll have to SIGN UP manually. While you’ll need to put in your first and last name in the blanks, know that your name may be replaced by what was on your application at some point.
After filling out personal information, you will get this screen.
You’ll be back at the home page of Blackbaud after verifying your account, and will log in with the email and password you just created.
After putting in your email and password, you should now see the Application Checklist and have gained access into Blackbaud.
NOTE: On Gmail, it’s been noted some of these automated invitations go to the Promotions folder of Gmail. Please be sure to check your Promotions folder if utilizing Gmail and follow the instructions below to make the NCSSM Communication land in your inbox:
Your various inbox categories - Primary, Social, Forums, Promotions and Updates collectively make up your inbox. So, in essence the emails are being delivered to your inbox, just not under the right category.
To correct, you can just drag and drop one such message from Promotions to Primary and click Yes on the confirmation black box for all future messages.
