If you are connected to the NCSSM network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet on your Windows-based PC and are not able to establish an Internet connection, please try the following instructions:
Click on the search bar or search button (magnifying glass) in Windows and search for cmd.
When the Command Prompt program appears, right-click on the program and click Run as administrator.
The Command Prompt should open and present you with a white, blinking cursor on a black background. Type ipconfig /release and hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
The Command Prompt should spit out a list of various networking IDs and information, showing that the IP addresses have been purged.
Now type ipconfig /renew and hit Enter. This process will take some time to complete.
If nothing happens within a few minutes, hit Ctrl + C on your keyboard to cancel the command and return the text prompt.
Then type ipconfig /release again and hit Enter, it should tell you that there are no IP addresses to release.
Now retype ipconfig /renew and hit Enter.
Once completed, you should see a list of the same network IDs as before with new information, and internet access should be available.
