Windows 11 and recommendation to wait

Good afternoon,

Microsoft today made Windows 11 available for download and installation. Given that this is a new Operating System (OS), it requires additional testing to ensure proper compatibility with our IT infrastructure, including the network, software, services, etc. That being the case, ITS recommends waiting to install Windows 11 until ITS can confirm the OS to be fully compatible and supportable in our environment. We will send out another announcement once we can confirm compatibility.

If you have any questions or concerns about this recommendation, please contact ITS via ticket at ithelp.ncssm.edu or by emailing ithelp@ncssm.edu
