Navigate Student Groups in Canvas

When you create student groups for assignments or projects, Canvas gives each student group their own Canvas site where they can work together. This guide explains how to navigate from the main Canvas course site to each student group.

 Instructions

1. In the Canvas course, click the People link in the main course menu.
   
   

   Open

   

    

2. Select the Project Groups tab.
   
   

   Open

   

    

3. Use the kebab menu next to the group you wish to visit, and choose Visit Group Homepage.
   
   

    

4. If you wish to switch to a different student group homepage, use the Select Group pull-down menu.
   
   

    

5. To return to your main course Canvas site, use the course link near the top of any student group homepage.
