Padlet
About Padlet
Padlet allows you to create an online post-it board that you can easily share with students. Students can post text images, videos, and even drawings to a Padlet wall. Students can comment on and like each other's posts. Padlet can be a fun alternative to discussion forums, especially when you wish students to post images. There are a lot of creative uses for Padlet.
Creating a Teacher Account
Create your account by visiting the link found in this Google Doc (you must be logged in to an NCSSM account to view the link.)
If you do not use this link to create your account, you will be added as a student when you log in to Padlet the first time. If you need to have a student account changed to a teacher account, contact TLC.

Padlet and Canvas
Embedding a Padlet in Canvas (easy method)
Padlets, by default, are set so they are secret, so people without the link should not be able to find them. But those you have shared links with can automatically post to the Padlets without logging in. This means all you need to do is embed a Padlet into your course and students can automatically post to it.
To embed a Padlet in a Canvas course, copy the embed code and paste it into Canvas.
If you would like to take added precautions to keep a Padlet wall more private, we recommend changing the share settings to "Password." Then type the password onto the Canvas page and embed the Padlet beneath the password.
Example Password-protected Padlet
To view the Password-Protected Padlet, enter the password "unicorns”.

Create a Padlet Assignment in Canvas (advanced method)
You can use the Padlet LTI to create an assignment in Canvas. The benefit to this method is that students' names automatically show up when they post to a Padlet without them logging in.
